Ingredients we Avoid!

At Organic Hair Sydney we are passionate about all things hair, so to remain in our industry and work with hair products all day we wanted to ensure they are not only safe enough for us to work with all day but are also safe for all of our clients to use no matter what concerns or life changes may arise.

We care for all clients that are dealing with all of lifes adventures.

Pregnant women have concerns regarding chemicals as do people suffering with allergies as well as clients with illnesses or medical problems.

Providing a clean air salon and using products that a free of any Harsh or harmful chemicals is our priority and we strive to make sure all of our clients have a safe haven and are confident in having their hair done in a relaxing environment.

Ingredients NOT Included

Many of us are familiar with the Chemical Ammonia and we all know it is Toxic and although some colour companies claim to use ammonia free hair colour there are many other potential harmful ingredients which are found in traditional colours and hair care products.

If you're unsure of what ingredients are used at your salon you should ask.

At Organic Hair Sydney we AVOID the following ingredients

  • p-Phenylenediamine (PPDs)

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulphate

  • Sodium Laureth Sulphate

  • Sulfates (SLS, ALS, SLES etc)

  • Thiomersal, Ethyl mercury, Phenyl mercuric salts = Mercury

  • Ammonia

  • Resorcinol = Petroleum

  • Petrochemicals (DEA, MEA, TEA, PEG's)

  • Cyclomethicone = Silicone

  • Amodimethicone = Silicone

  • Cyclopentasiloxane = Silicone

  • PVP/PVA Copolymer = Plastic

  • Methylchloroisothiazolinone = Preservative

  • Methylisothiazolinone = Preservative

  • Phenoxyethanol = Artificial Preservative

  • DMDM Hydantoin = Formaldehyde

  • Urea = Formaldehyde

  • FD&C = Artificial Colour

  • Parfum = Artificial Fragrance

  • PEG's (Propylene Glycol) = Artificial Moisturiser

  • ​Linalool/ Limonene = Fragrance enhancer
